Soap is a simple thing. A few small habits can make it last longer, lather better, and become a more enjoyable part of your daily routine.

Give your soap somewhere to dry.

A draining soap dish is one of the easiest ways to extend the life of a bar. Soap left sitting in water softens quickly, while a bar allowed to dry between uses will stay firmer and last considerably longer.

More bubbles doesn't always mean cleaner.

Every recipe lathers differently. Some bars create large, airy bubbles. Others produce a denser, creamier lather. Both can clean beautifully. Lather is a matter of character, not performance.

Olive oil behaves differently.

Soaps rich in olive oil often feel silky or almost slippery in the hand. They may produce fewer dramatic bubbles than a coconut-heavy bar, but that doesn't mean they're cleaning less. The sensation is simply part of the recipe's nature.

Essential oils are quieter.

Our soaps are scented with essential oils rather than synthetic fragrance oils. Expect a fragrance that stays close to the skin, more like crushing cedar needles or rubbing lavender between your fingers than wearing a cologne.

How long a bar lasts depends on how often it's used, how much lather you build, how well it's dries between uses, and how many people share it. Rather than chasing a number, we recommend giving your soap a chance to dry completely after each use.
